JEWISH MUSIC & THEATRE ONLINE

Discover the research and performances that formed part of the AHRC-funded project ‘Performing the Jewish Archive’, and browse the online database of resources.

Throughout the 20th century, various events and population shifts greatly affected the musical, theatrical and literary creations of Jewish artists. Many of the works from this period have either disappeared or, until recently, remained dormant in various abandoned archives.

“Performing the Jewish Archive” is committed to projects that aim to stimulate the creation of new works in order to revive the archives of the past.

The site relays numerous events, information and online resources.
