To The Tavern

London Klezmer Quartet

The London Klezmer Quartet was formed in 2009 by a group of klezmer specialists keen to explore the almost-lost wedding music tradition of Jewish eastern Europe. The band is also one of the few who lead the Yiddish dances that this music would traditionally have accompanied.

Their latest album, To the Tavern, came out in September 2016. According to the London Evening Standard, the album confirms LKQ as “One of the best bands in the UK playing klezmer music”.

Dynamic band composed of four musicians: Ilana Cravitz (violin), Susi Evans (clarinet), Carol Isaacs (accordeon), Indra Buraczewska (double bass and voice lead ).
