Gefilte fishtre !

In 2010 the clarinet player Alain Gourdeau and violinist Maëva Tur created le Tout petit klezmer, an intimist band, who aims to make relive klezmer music an another way, but still respecting the roots of the past.

To this first duet was added in 2012 the double bass player (Xuan Lindenmeyer) to form Balabosta trio, which presents here their first recording Gefilte Fishtre ! : a CD featuring 9 klezmer tunes, where can be heard the personality of each musician.

In Yiddish, the Balabosta is the housekeeper, the women who cooks the gefilte fish for the family, who knits the thread of tradition and heritage. The Balabosta trio tells the story of the klezmer music heritage …
