The Bubbey Mayse is the power of four women.

It’s a committed music, an assertive writing style, driven by the strength of the collective.

In their instruments, we hear the cries of stirring stories, feel the tread of anger, guess the deep roots with longings for horizon, dream of snuggling up in a dance until the wee hours…

And in their four finely tuned voices, we plunge into a whole, epidermal universe. This is the world of four women who come together around their love of klezmer music and the Yiddish language, and who draw from it the impetus to reinvent a brighter tomorrow.

The musicians: Elsa Signorile: clarinet, vocals; Juliette Divry: cello, vocals; Margaux Liénard: violin, vocals; Morgane Labbe: accordion, vocals
