Hélène Engel presents the CD Embrace by Canadian singer Lenka Lichtenberg released by Sunflower Records in April 2013. This album co-produced by Alan Hetherington is inspired by both traditional Jewish songs (Aleynu, Tumbalalaika) and Yiddish poetry (Shnirele Perele, Vayn Fun Lebn).

A mixture of East and West supported by the Yiddish language.

She is passionate about all aspects of Jewish music, from field collecting to current compositions. Based in Montreal, she hosts the program “Les faces cachées de la musique juive” on Radio SHALOM Montreal, which will become in 2017 “La culture juive enchantée” on Radio CJRS Montreal.
