Ashkenazi Jewish Liturgy – André Stora

Festival songs, Torah reading

André Stora has devoted his life to liturgy, singing, and passing on traditions.

After serving as Cantor at the Saint-Etienne Synagogue, then at the Synagogue de la Victoire in Paris, André Stora spent most of his career at the Nancy Synagogue, where he formed a youth choir, set up the Eclaireurs Israélites de France troupe, and served as director of the Talmud Torah.

André Stora’s website (in French) Liturgie Juive ashkénaze (Ashkenazi Jewish Liturgy) is a rich resource on Ashkenazi liturgy, offering downloads of scores by Samuel David, Louis Lewandowski, Joseph Sulzer, and Samuel Naumbourg for various services and celebrations.
