The Marx Sisters

Deep from a dream of a shtetl, one can hear the old melodies which once punctuated the lives of our Ashkenazi ancestors. From jumpy refrains to languishing tunes, from deep cries of sadness to prayers filled with hope, these five fellows, accompanied by many friends on this CD decided to say aloud that the Yiddish language is still alive, that it jumps on the keys of the accordion, runs on the strings of the guitar, and unfolds in the grace of an enchanting voice.

Judith Marx – Lead Vocals
Milena Marx – Clarinet, vocals
Raphaël Setty – Accordion, vocals, Fender Rhodes
Mano Siri – Guitar, banjo, vocals
Benjamin Chabert – Double bass, vocals
