Enchanted Jewish Culture : Mahzor Hayim

A radio broadcast of Radio CJRS Montreal hosted by Hélène Engel

La culture juive enchantée – 2017, Radio CJRS Montréal (1650 AM)

Hélène Engel presents the new CD in the “Classical” collection : Mahzor Hayim, dedicated to the French-Israeli composer Itaï Daniel.

This CD includes in particular the beautiful cantata Mahzor Hayim performed by Aviva Timonier, François Olivier and the Chœurs Francis Bardot. One can also find on this CD other works for soloists (with the great voice of Anne-Sophie Durand), choir and cello (Yska Benzakoun), conducted and accompanied on the piano by the composer himself.

Itaï Daniel’s music, deeply linked to the Jewish soul, waves between classicism and modernity, in a unique blend which gives to it a particular flavour.

A composer and a disc to discover by all means !
