Speak with Ghosts

Anakronic Electro Orkestra

JuMu / Balagan Box 2010, 15-11-2010

Between dub and drum n’ bass, Anakronic Electro Orkestra brings a traditional Jewish music into the 21st century with this album Speak With Ghosts, like Gotan Project with tango, but in a more instinctive way.

First CD from the JuMu, a French music label producing klezmer music, Mikaël Charry, the man-orchestra who started this project, succeeded after years of research with masters of the genre (David Krakauer and SoCalled), to obtain the precious balance between folklore and sample. The machines never muffle the accordion or the crazy clarinet. A respectful  dialogue for a reference album.
