Judeo-Moroccan music comes from the fusion of Moroccan and Andalusian cultures

With the expansion of recording methods and of vinyl records, the music from Moroccan Jews has gone worldwide and great singers emerged.

cd_472_couv500px25.jpgLike for example Sami El Maghribi (who’s real name is Salomon Amzallag), who is one of the pioneers of classic Moroccan Music. In the musical style Chaâbi (popular melody), the singers Raymonde El Bidaouia and Chaikh Mwijo stand out from the rest.
